The Dallas Mavericks have cut their deficit against the Los Angeles Clippers to 10 points in the third quarter, but saw star point guard Luka Doncic take a hit to his right knee while he attempted to corral a rebound. Clippers guard Terance Mann was chasing the ball and ran into Doncic, who immediately sank to the floor and grabbed his knee. He stayed in the game and was noticeably limping up the court.
This was at the 8:56 mark in the 3rd, Luka Doncic in pain when that same right knee he injured in game 3 gets hit by Terrance Mann. Luka stayed in. Mavs cut deficit to 10 @FOX4 #mffl pic.twitter.com/Zs1lIsF8FQ

Doncic was a game-time decision heading into the contest with this same knee injury. He briefly left Game 3 with the issue but returned quickly and eventually led the Mavericks to a victory. He came just one assist short of a triple-double. Most of Dallas’ comeback has been fueled by Kyrie Irving, but the team obviously would like Doncic to be on the floor in key moments.
The star appears to be moving fine in the subsequent game action, suggesting there might’ve been some momentary pain but no actual issue with his knee. Still, this will be worth monitoring as the game goes on if the Mavericks can complete their comeback.
