Bucks PF Bobby Portis ejected from Game 4 vs. Pacers Sunday after slapping Andrew Nembhard [VIDEO]

Milwaukee Bucks power forward Bobby Portis, who has been in the starting lineup due to the injury to Giannis Antetokounmpo, has been ejected from Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers after landing a slap on guard Andrew Nembhard. Portis was assessed two technical fouls during the scrum with Nembhard and other Pacers on the baseline, with the open-hand slap being the second technical which caused him to be ejected.

Portis has been known to play with his emotions on his sleeve but he has to be smarter than this. The Bucks are not only down Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard in this game, but they’re also trailing in the series 2-1. The best chance they had was a player like Portis having a big game. He was off to a decent start with four point and three rebounds in just under seven minutes before getting into a bit of a shoving match with Nembhard. He probably would’ve been alright had the incident stayed at shoves but the open-hand slap was never going to be tolerated.

With Portis done for the game, the Bucks will have to lean on Andre Jackson Jr. and Brook Lopez down low. Milwaukee has maintained its fight and has a lead in the first quarter as of this writing, so we’ll see if that is sustainable for the rest of the game.
