The Arizona Cardinals have officially selected Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The son of the NFL Hall of Famer will now head to the desert to create his own legacy on the big stage.
Harrison has long been considered the top receiver prospect in this class given how dominant he was at Ohio State. Through three seasons in Columbus, he caught 155 targets for 1,211 yards, and 31 touchdowns, earning unanimous All-American honors twice along with winning the Biletnikoff Award in 2023. He follows Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the line of recent Buckeye wideouts to be selected in the first round.
MHJ now heads to an Arizona franchise looking to get back into playoff contention with a healthy Kyler Murray at quarterback.
Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. fantasy football outlook
Make no mistake, Harrison will be WR1 the moment he touches down in Glendale. It was last offseason when the Cardinals cut DeAndre Hopkins and they sorely missed an elite receiver of his caliber in 2023. Murray will now have an elite pass-catcher to target for years to come.
Marvin Harrison Jr.’s supporting cast
MHJ joins an Arizona receiver room that includes Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, and Chris Moore. None of those wideouts cross 600 yards last season, so he will be the unquestioned top target when Week 1 rolls around this September. Tight end Trey McBride actually led the team in receiving last season with 81 receptions, 825 yards, and three touchdowns, so they could form a formidable 1-2 punch.
Where should Marvin Harrison Jr. rank among WRs in fantasy football?
Harrison will be a hot commodity in fantasy drafts as he could be a top 15 fantasy wide receiver right out the gate. He has a high ceiling if he stays healthy, so if you want him, you should try snatching him up within the first three to four rounds.
As far as keeper and dynasty leagues goes, he should be one of the top three picks. Do not hesitate if you’re in one of these spots and he’s staring you right in the face.
