Fantasy football outlook for Bills WR Keon Coleman in rookie season

The Buffalo Bills have officially selected Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The wideout will now head up to western New York to help restock the team’s depleted receiver depth.

Beginning his collegiate career at Michigan State, Coleman transferred to FSU in 2023 and made a huge impact for the Seminoles. He caught 50 passes for 658 yards and 11 touchdowns as the team went undefeated throughout the regular season. He’s a prospect that could’ve easily been selected in the first round, so it’s fitting that he was the first prospect taken off the board in the second round.

Bills WR Keon Coleman fantasy football outlook

At 6’4”, 215 pounds, Coleman has the skill to make big plays by high-pointing balls and should serve as a big target for quarterback Josh Allen.

Keon Coleman’s supporting cast

Coleman is walking into a situation where he could make an impact immediately given the hits Buffalo’s receiver room took in the offseason. The team traded top wideout Stefon Diggs to the Texans earlier in the month and Gabriel Davis signed with the Jaguars at the start of free agency.

He’ll most likely start opposite of Curtis Samuel, whom the team signed to a three-year deal in March. He should also share targets with tight end Dalton Kincaid, who caught 73 targets for 673 yards as a rookie last season.

Where should Coleman rank among WRs in fantasy football?

Coleman should get plenty of run right out the gate and could potentially become the Bills’ top option by the end of the season. In redraft leagues, I’d try to scoop him up in middle-late rounds after you’ve secured your top three wideout options. In dynasty or keeper league drafts, I’d try to grab him in the second round.
