The 2024 NFL Draft continued on Friday with the second and third rounds taking place from Hart Plaza in Detroit. After offense ruled in round one, several teams began addressing major needs on the defensive end through these two rounds.
Trading out of the first round, the Buffalo Bills kicked off the festivities by selecting Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman with the No. 33 pick. Georgia wideout Ladd McConkey went to the Los Angeles Chargers right afterwards at 34 as he was another prospect who some had projected to land in the first round. Two highly touted cornerbacks also finally got the phone call as Iowa’s Cooper DeJean went to the Philadelphia Eagles at 40 and Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry went to the New Orleans Saints at 41. And at 46, the first running back was finally taken off the board with the Carolina Panthers selecting Jonathon Brooks out of Texas.
That leads us to the final day of the draft on Saturday, where there are still plenty of quality players still up for the taking. The ability for a franchise to find gems in rounds four through seven is a valuable skill, so every decision matters.
Here’s our list of best players available heading into the second and third rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday. The Carolina Panthers will get the first crack at these prospects with the 101st pick.
