The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft has come and gone as the first 32 players are off the board. The draft resumes on Friday, April 25, with the second and third rounds. Thursday’s portion of the draft gets the most attention, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some talented players still around for the second day. Below, we will track all of the results from the second and third rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Thursday began with no surprise as the Chicago Bears officially selected Caleb Williams. From there, the next few picks went as expected, with no trades being made and Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye rounding out the top three. Marvin Harrison Jr. found his home with the Arizona Cardinals, and Joe Alt was the first offensive lineman off the board at No. 5. The Atlanta Falcons pulled a head-scratching move by selecting Michael Penix Jr. at No. 8, and the Denver Broncos followed suit, taking Bo Nix a few picks later.
The first round was historic, as no defensive players were drafted in the first 15 selections. The second and third rounds could be more defensive heavy as well as seeing our first running back, middle linebacker and safety chosen.
