The 2024 NFL Draft kicks off in Detroit, Michigan on Thursday, April 25 and runs through Saturday, April 27. Defensive tackle Braden Fiske is among the best interior defensive linemen in this year’s draft class. Fiske spent the first four years of his college career before transferring to Florida State in 2023. While there, he was named to the second-team All-ACC after an impressive season. As a Seminole, Fiske finished the 2023 season with 43 tackles, nine tackles for loss, six sacks, and five QB hurries. The defensive tackle is expected to get drafted in the second round.

Fiske is somewhat undersized for his position and can get overpowered by bigger offensive linemen, but makes up for any shortcomings with pure speed and hustle. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein outlines Fiske’s scouting report:
Defensive tackle with below-average mass and length who makes up for it with above-average quickness and a constantly revving engine. Fiske uses sudden hands and nimble feet to whip single blocks. Once he finds daylight, he flies to whoever has the ball. He doesn’t have the anchor to sit down and muddy gaps, so scheme will be important for him. Fiske is a hustle rusher who can win quick or late if opponents don’t play with proper hand usage and match his energy. He lacks ideal measurables but has a chance to become an impact defender.
Mock Draft landing spots
Fiske is expected to land in the second round. The Dolphins may choose to go for Fiske if they don’t grab an earlier interior defensive lineman at No. 55 overall, and the Chiefs may be on the lookout at No. 64 overall. The Browns and bengals are two other potential landing spots in the second or third round if they put off drafting a defensive tackle.
