The Philadelphia Eagles started the 2023 season as hot as can be, going 10-1 and looking like the Super Bowl favorite. Unfortunately that all crashed around them, as they went 1-5 to end the season. They were then beaten fairly easily in the Wild Card round by the Buccaneers 32-9. They’ll look to shore up their pass defense in the draft, which was their biggest weakness in their end of the season collapse. But will also be in play for offensive line early on.
2024 Mock Draft: Eagles
Key Offseason Additions/Losses
Center Jason Kelce retired in the 2024 offseason, leaving a major opening in the offensive line. DT Fletcher Cox also retired. The team did add RB Saquon Barkley, while letting RB D’Andre Swift walk. They were also able to re-sign OL Landon Dickerson and DE Brandon Graham to keep some of their stars in the trenches.
Eagles’ First Three Picks
We can expect GM Howie Roseman to have something up his sleeve in the first and second rounds, but we’ll keep the picks given in this mini-mock.
Round 1, Pick #22 — Cooper DeJean, CB
They may want to move up from this pick to grab an offensive lineman they want, but if not, I expect some strong corners to fall into their range. DeJean is someone who can play multiple positions in a defensive backfield that needs to fill multiple positions.
Round 2, Pick #50 — Jordan Morgan, OT
This may be wishful thinking, but Morgan is someone who could drop far enough for the Eagles to grab him at 50 or trade up a few spots to nab him if he falls. He’s coming of an ACL injury which could drop him a little, but he has the skills to win in the NFL, especially after getting fully back from his injury.
Round 3, Pick #53 — Mike Sainristil, CB
Sainristil has a wide range of talents in the defensive backfield and is a strong leader with a good head on his shoulders. He does everything well, but isn’t exceptional in one area. He would fit in well with the Eagles and be a reliable presence from the very start.
