Best NBA player prop bets to consider for Monday’s playoff games

NBA postseason action continues Monday with three Game 2s on the schedule. The home teams were 8-0 in Game 1, which was the first instance of the home team winning every series opener in the first round since 2013.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite player prop options for Monday’s playoff games with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Paolo Banchero over 5.5 assists vs. Cavaliers (+105)

Game 1 was largely forgettable for Banchero, who had solid overall stats but turned the ball over nine times. The Magic forward managed five assists despite his teammates struggling from the floor, so there’s reason to think he can top this number with some slightly better marksmanship in Game 2. Banchero went over this particular line in four straight games to close out the regular season and should remain the focal point of Orlando’s offense. I think his teammates do a better job hitting shots tonight, which will help him get over this line.

Tobias Harris over 12.5 points vs. Knicks (-115)

Harris was a non-factor in Game 1, managing just seven points in 31 minutes of action. He did grab nine rebounds but the Sixers will need him to be a better scorer in this series. There’s a chance Tyrese Maxey doesn’t suit up or is limited with an illness, which means more usage for Harris. The veteran forward went over this line in seven straight games to close the regular season and I believe he will find his scoring touch again in Game 2.

D’Angelo Russell over 2.5 3-pointers vs. Nuggets (-135)

Russell shot 41.5% from behind the arc over the regular season, setting a Lakers franchise record for made triples in a season. He cooled off slightly to close the regular season, hitting just 37.4% of his triples over the last 10 games but that was largely due to a few lackluster showings amid strong games. He was 0-5 in the second to last game before going 5-10 in the last game, then went 1-9 in Game 1. Regression to the mean for a shooter of Russell’s caliber suggests he will bounce back tonight, so I like him to go over this line.
