Grace McDermott’s 2024 MLB Player Prop record: 5-3
MLB player prop bets: Sunday, April 21
Chris Bassitt over 4.5 strikeouts vs. Padres (-125)
The Blue Jays have dominated the Padres during their current series with 5-1 and 5-2 wins. With Bassitt on the mound, we can expect another successful outing for Toronto. Bassitt has hit the six-inning mark on the mound in each of his last two starts, recording eight strikeouts against the Mariners and five against the Yankees. We can expect him to keep those numbers consistent here.
Yandy Diaz over 1.5 total bases vs. Yankees (+135)
Diaz has three total bases in the current series against the Yankees already, and has amassed eight total bases in his last four games. Luis Gil will take the mound for the Yankees, and he has been trending in the wrong direction in both walks allowed and hits allowed. Take Diaz to grab at least two bases in the series finale.
Spencer Steer over 0.5 RBI vs. Angels (+180)
Steer hasn’t recorded an RBI since he hit three against the White Sox on April 13, but given the way he’s been playing, he is long due. The Angels start Jose Soriano on Sunday, who has been up and down this month. In his first two starts in April, Soriano allowed seven earned runs in seven innings. Steer recorded three hits and three total bases in his most recent game. He should find a way to drive in at least one run Sunday.
