The Cup Series will utilize the superspeedway qualifying format. NASCAR eliminated groups for superspeedways and will have every driver run a one-lap, single-car qualifier. The 10 fastest drivers will advance to the final round of qualifying and set a new one-lap, single-car qualifying time. The fastest driver from the final round of qualifying will earn pole position as the rest of the starting lineup is set.
