The NBA Play-In Tournament is back in action Friday night!
The Thunder will be keeping a keen eye on tonight’s matchup between the Pelicans and Kings to see which squad they’ll be facing off against in the first round.
In this article, I’m going to break down my favorite NBA player prop on DraftKings Sportsbook for Friday’s must-win Kings-Pelicans game. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Sacramento Kings
CJ McCollum Over 23.5 Points (-112)
If you haven’t already checked out my best bet for Heat vs. Bulls, I would recommend doing so, because the logic is similar for this pick.
First, let’s address the obvious thing that pops up when you search “CJ McCollum stats”…
He was HORRIBLE in New Orleans’ last game against the Lakers. 4-15 from the field, 1-9 from three, nine points. It was all bad.
That said, there’s a lot of reason for optimism that CJ will bounce back tonight. The Pelicans were hit with a massive loss at the end of Tuesday’s contest as Zion Williamson suffered a relatively significant hamstring injury. So, that leaves McCollum as the clear guy who has to step up into the role of New Orleans’ No. 1 option. Brandon Ingram is still technically in the picture, but he’s only played two games since returning from injury and has been quite passive in both.
Prior to that atrocious shooting performance against LeBron and company, McCollum was on an offensive tear. 25-plus points in seven straight games, and a ridiculous 42-80 from three over that stretch.
We know the shot volume is going to see a significant spike tonight as the Pelicans look to survive the Play-In, and if his form even returns slightly to the level it’s been over the past few weeks, racking up at least 24 points should be a breeze for the veteran guard.
