The Kings and Bulls both won their opening matchups in the 2024 NBA Play-in Tournament, earning another opportunity to secure a spot in the first round of the playoffs despite having finished ninth in the regular season standings of their respective conference. While bettors can back Sacramento and Chicago, or their respective opponents in New Orleans and Chicago, DraftKings Sportsbook bettors aren’t limited to the markets for those games.
In the Team Futures market, bettors can pick who they believe will win the 2024 NBA Finals. Of the 18 teams listed (14 having secured a playoff position and four still battling for the last two spots), the Celtics lead the pack at +145 to win it all, with the Nuggets being +300 to repeat and the Clippers sitting at third in the odds (+1200) despite being a No. 4 seed.
The Celtics have secured home-court advantage throughout the entirety of the playoffs thanks to their 64-18 regular season finish. As such, they’re not only the favorite to win the 2024 NBA Finals, they’re also -200 to win the Eastern Conference Finals. The 76ers, who are +1700 to win the 2024 NBA Finals, have the second-best odds to win the East at +700.
Out west, the Nuggets are +135 to win their conference finals after finishing 57-25, but they are the West’s second seed since the Thunder finished with the same record and owned the tiebreaker. On top of being behind the Clippers in the championship odds at +1600, the top-seeded OKC is also +650 to win the Western Conference Finals while the Clippers are +600 to win the West.
But, DraftKings Sportsbook bettors aren’t solely limited to options centered around teams.
In the Awards market, bettors can back players to win the Eastern Conference Finals MVP, Western Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP. Jayson Tatum is the favorite to be named Eastern Conference Finals MVP (+110) and NBA Finals MVP (+240). Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown is right behind him in the Eastern Conference Finals MVP odds at +500, but Brown is third in the odds for NBA Finals MVP at +900. Sandwiched between Boston’s stars in the NBA Finals MVP odds at +330 is Nikola Jokic, who is also the favorite to be named Western Conference Finals MVP (+160).
