The MLB is back with a loaded 15-game slate for Tuesday, April 16, weather permitting. While it is exciting that every team is in action, this means that there are 15 first innings scheduled, giving bettors plenty of options to choose from. This is a risky bet because Miami is averaging the third-most first-inning runs in the league. They will face off against San Francisco starter Jordan Hicks who heads into this game with a 2-0 record and a 1.00 ERA. He has allowed just one first-inning run this year, while Miami starter Ryan Weathers (1-1, 2.57 ERA) hasn’t allowed any first-inning runs.
Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox (-130)
The Royals and the White Sox will play the second game of their series on Tuesday. It will be the sixth game they’ve had against each other this year. In the five games so far, they have scored just one first-inning run. Brady Singer (2-0, 0.98 ERA) starts for Kansas City, while Jonathan Cannon makes his MLB debut for Chicago.

Chicago Cubs vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
The Diamondbacks average the most first inning runs in MLB. Chicago is starting veteran Kyle Hendricks, who enters with an 0-2 record and 12.08 ERA. He’s allowed 17 earned runs in only 12.2 innings this year. Arizona starting pitcher Tommy Henry has allowed at least one run in the first inning in two of his three starts this season.
