The Phoenix Suns (48-33) and Minnesota Timberwolves (56-25) will meet Sunday afternoon on the final day of the 2023-24 regulars season with a lot on the line for both teams. The Suns have a shot at the No. 6 seed but don’t control their own destiny, while the Timberwolves could potentially get the No. 1 overall seed with a win and a loss from either Denver or Oklahoma City. These teams have met twice so far this season with Phoenix winning both meetings.
Damion Lee remains out for the Suns, while Drew Eubanks is questionable. The Timberwolves are without Jaylen Clark, while Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns are both considered questionable. Edwards and Towns are both expected to play.
The Timberwolves are 2-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook with the total sitting at 217. Minnesota is -142 on the moneyline while Phoenix is +120.

The Suns are 18-21-1 ATS away from home this season but are 8-6 ATS as road underdogs. Phoenix has won two games in a row to stay alive for the No. 6 seed, and beat the Timberwolves by 10 points a little over a week ago. Minnesota is just 18-20-2 ATS at home despite having a 30-10 record straight up. The Timberwolves are 14-20-2 ATS as home favorites, although getting Towns back does help them.
There’s plenty at stake for both teams and although the Timberwolves have covered just three times in their last 10 games, they’ll have a bit of revenge on their minds for the April 5 loss and will be motivated to go for the No. 1 seed. I’ll back Minnesota at home to get the job done.

Phoenix is 18-22 to the over away from home while Minnesota is 17-22-1 to the over at home. The Timberwolves have been one of the best defensive teams in the league at home, and get a further boost there with Towns back. The Suns have gone under their totals in five of the last six games, while the Timberwolves have gone over their totals in three of the last four and five of the last seven games. I think the trends will hold Sunday for both teams and the under hits in this one.
