The 2023-24 NBA regular season comes to a close Sunday, April 14 with all 30 teams in action. The Eastern Conference will be on display in the first window of games at 1 p.m. ET while the Western Conference games tip off in the later window at 3:30 p.m. ET. There’s a lot up for grabs in terms of playoff and play-in seeding in both conferences, which means a lot of star players will be suiting up in this final regular season game. Here’s a look at some of our favorite player prop bets for the day’s action, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jalen Brunson 35+ points vs. Bulls (+135)
In the last 10 games, Brunson is averaging 36.4 points per game on 50/40/85 shooting splits. This stretch has been highlighted by a 61-point effort against the Spurs but Brunson has been remarkably consistent when it comes to hitting this mark. He’s reached it six times during this stretch and should be able to score early and often against the Bulls Sunday. Chicago is locked into the No. 9 spot and likely will rest its best players, which means Brunson should have a field day going against backups. I like him to keep his scoring pace up and get to this line.
Damian Lillard over 3.5 3-pointers vs. Magic (+110)
Lillard has been off from behind the arc over the last four games, shooting just 31.3%. Volume will help him since Giannis Antetokounmpo remains sidelined due to a calf strain, and the Magic have fallen off a bit defending the perimeter. Orlando ranked eighth in opponent three-point percentage prior to the All-Star break, but is 19th in the same category after the break. Lillard hit three triples against Orlando on Wednesday and went over this mark in the last meeting against the Magic. I think he’ll find his form from deep in this game.
Joel Embiid under 42.5 points + rebounds vs. Nets (-115)
The Sixers do not control their own destiny when it comes to playoff positioning, but there’s a chance they can get all the way up to the No. 5 spot in the East. Embiid had a bit of an injury scare Friday but did come back to the contest. I think the 76ers will manage their big man a bit in this game as they should handle the tanking Nets without much of a problem. Even though Embiid has gone over this line in the last two games, I think he plays a bit less in Sunday’s game and goes under this line.
Tyrese Haliburton over 10.5 assists vs. Hawks (-110)
Haliburton logged 12 assists in a losing effort to the Cavaliers last time out, and he should continue to have success in this category Sunday against the Hawks. The Pacers guard went well over this mark in his two appearances against Atlanta this season and the matchup is favorable. The Hawks rank 24th in opponent assists allowed per game and are unlikely to play their starters heavy minutes since they’re locked into the 9-10 play-in game. I’ll back Haliburton to go over this line.
Anthony Edwards over 24.5 points vs. Suns (-125)
The Timberwolves have a shot at the No. 1 seed, and they’re going to be relying on their star forward in this matchup against the Suns. Edwards only managed 14 points in the team’s last game against Atlanta and went under this line in both previous games against Phoenix this season, but he’s gone over this mark in four of his last six games overall. Minnesota is at home and has a lot to play for, which should give Edwards enough incentive to be more aggressive. Even with Karl-Anthony Towns back, I think Edwards is the engine of this roster. He should hit 25+ points Sunday.
LeBron James over 41.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Pelicans (-110)
You can take the King to record a triple-double (+900) but I think this is more manageable given how the Lakers star has performed of late. James has gone for 26.7 points, 8.7 assists and 7.6 rebounds per game over the last 10 games. He’s scored 70 points combined over the last two games and appears to be set on getting LA into the 7-8 play-in game. In three games against the Pelicans this season, James averaged 28.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 10 assists per game. He should surpass this line Sunday.
