All 30 teams are in action Friday in the NBA, which means 15 games will take place for the day’s schedule. Even though just 11 of those games come in on the main DFS slate at DraftKings, that still leaves plenty of options for mangers to find value additions to lineups. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value, NBA DFS differs.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays $5K or under that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. We are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Caleb Martin, Heat, $4,700
After some lackluster performances, Martin broke out with 32 fantasy points in 38 minutes against the Mavericks. The Heat forward has a much more favorable matchup Friday against the Raptors, who are ceding the most fantasy points to opposing power forwards this season. Miami needs Martin to recapture his playoff form from a year ago as it stares down another play-in berth, so Friday would be a great time for him to continue putting up big numbers.
Malik Beasley, Bucks, $4,900
It can be a bit demoralizing to get benched this late in the season, so it’s understandable to be hesitant about rostering Beasley. However, the Bucks shooting guard is in line for major minutes tonight. Milwaukee is without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard is doubtful and four other key rotation players are questionable. That means Beasley should see plenty of minutes and shots in Friday’s game. The Thunder are a solid defensive unit but they are just above the league average when it comes to fantasy points allowed to opposing shooting guards. Given Beasley’s ability to get hot from the perimeter, he’s worth taking a chance on in tonight’s contests.
Jaden McDaniels, Timberwolves, $4,400
Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to return for Minnesota Friday, so there’s going to be a shuffling of roles. McDaniels should see some open looks against a porous Hawks defense, which ranks 24th in fantasy points allowed to small forwards. The Timberwolves wing contributes in many ways which won’t show up at first glance on a stat sheet but he’s capable of getting hot from the perimeter, particularly against this specific opponent. The minutes have been there, and Atlanta offers a nice matchup for McDaniels to deliver a great outing at a reasonable price.
