The 2023-24 season for the New England Patriots ended on Sunday with a 17-3 loss to the New York Jets. They ended up winning just four of their 17 games this season. The only good news is that they will get a good draft pick in a year where there are plenty of good picks to choose from.
Patriots draft order: 3rd overall pick
The Patriots did have the No. 2 overall pick heading into Week 18, but, despite losing, the strength of schedule numbers moved to the Washington Commanders favor. But a Top 3 pick is still very good this year.
Patriots mock draft: Potential first-round pick
The Patriots need a quarterback more than any other position after Mac Jones and Baliey Zappe face-planted this season. And the good news is that they should be in a good position to grab one this year. They could end up trading with the Bears for the No. 1 pick if Chicago decides to stick with Justin Fields, but if not, they still have a shot at Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels. And if they don’t take one of Caleb Williams, Maye or Daniels, it’s time to stop being a fan.
