The Indianapolis Colts ended the 2023 season with a 23-19 loss to AFC South rival Houston Texans on Saturday, finishing the campaign with a respectable 9-8 record. With the Jaguars losing, the Colts could’ve actually clinched the division title with a victory, but it wasn’t meant to be.
In a year that included a very public beef between Jonathan Taylor and owner Jim Irsay, as well as rookie quarterback suffering a season-ending shoulder injury, the team still managed to grind their way to a respectable record. Now they look towards the offseason, where they will have a mid first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Indianapolis will be picking No. 15 in the draft as it is one of five teams to miss the postseason despite finishing 9-8. The Colts were slotted here by way of the strength of schedule tiebreaker.

No. 15: WR Keon Coleman, Florida State
Indianapolis has a number of needs to fill this offseason and I have the team taking FSU wideout Keon Coleman with the No. 15 pick. Dynamic wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is set to become a free agent this offseason and the Colts will have a huge hole to fill if he’s not re-signed. They can fill that hole in the form of Coleman, who made big play after big play for a Seminole team that went 13-0 and won the ACC. Pair him with Josh Downs and you have two young receivers for a returning Anthony Richardson next year.
