The main slate in Week 13 wraps up with a Sunday Night Football showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers. Kickoff from Lambeau Field is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC, with both teams coming off an encouraging win over division rivals in Week 12.

Here are some of the best options to consider as you prepare your DFS lineup strategy for Sunday night’s primetime matchup.

NFL DFS Showdown strategy: Chiefs vs. Packers

Captain’s Picks

Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs ($18,600)

This isn’t rocket science when we say the Chiefs offense continues to revolve around its quarterback. Mahomes is still averaging 20.8 DKFP per game this season, and last week’s 31-17 rout of the Las Vegas Raiders may be the spark to get Mahomes back on track, by his standards. The reigning MVP finished with 298 passing yards and two touchdowns for 20.8 DKFP.

Jordan Love, QB, Packers ($14,400)

Facing the league’s third-ranked scoring defense is no easy feat, but Love’s play in the pocket will be counted on if Green Bay wants to earn the upset. The Packers signal-caller enters Sunday night’s matchup with some nice momentum, having thrown for 268 yards and three touchdowns for 26.6 DKFP. If he gets into a shootout with Mahomes, he’ll more than provide value as the captain’s pick for this matchup.

FLEX Options

Isiah Pacheco, RB, Chiefs ($10,200)

This Chiefs offense has had to adapt this season due to the learning curve faced by their wide receivers. Enter Pacheco, who is averaging 14.1 DKFP per game this season. He’s fresh off a dominating performance over the Raiders in which he totaled 55 rushing yards and two scores, amounting to 25.9 DKFP. In order to keep a stout Packers defense honest, look for Pacheco to get a healthy dose of carries Sunday night.

Christian Watson, WR, Packers ($6,800)

Watson got back on track in last week’s win over Detroit, having caught five of seven targets for 94 yards and a touchdown. The stat line amounted to 20.4 DKFP, which was easily his best game of the season. With Green Bay’s receiving corps potentially banged up heading into Sunday night, Watson is a clear flex candidate with intriguing upside.

Players to Avoid

Jayden Reed, WR, Packers ($7,000)

In the week leading up to Green Bay’s win over Detroit, Reed was dealing with a chest injury but ended up with no injury designation for the Thanksgiving upset victory. However, it appears he may have done some more damage, thus, his being held out of practice this week. Whether or not he goes, the injury could clearly hamper his ceiling, thus bumping up the likes of Watson and Romeo Doubs when it comes to the passing game.

Justin Watson, WR, Chiefs ($5,200)

Watson was the recipient of one of Mahomes’ two touchdowns last week, but that score saved what was an otherwise forgettable performance. He had just three targets on the day, and the breakout game of Rashee Rice only further added a hit to Watson’s fantasy ceiling. For now, it feels like Kelce and Rice are the WR1 and WR2 in the passing game, thus making Watson an afterthought when it comes to DFS.
