Update 6:20 p.m. Harrison is officially OUT for the Buckeyes tonight.

The No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes will battle the No. 9 Missouri Tigers in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic at 8 p.m. ET tonight and the status of wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is still unknown heading into the contest.

It was initially assumed that Harrison would opt out of the New Year’s Six bowl game and declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. However, he’s yet to make an official announcement and told reporters prior to the Heisman Trophy ceremony that he was mulling over the possibility of returning to Ohio State next season. The Biletnikoff Award winner traveled with the team to Arlington, but did not practice this week.

Harrison just wrapped up an electric season for the Buckeyes, where he hauled in 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year. The son of the NFL Hall of Famer with the same name is the consensus top receiver prospect heading into this April’s draft, with some currently projecting him to be taken as high as No. 2.

Ohio State enters the Cotton Bowl as a 5.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 51.
