The Bowl games start to get a bit more intriguing once Christmas is in the rearview, and we get a couple of good ones here on Wednesday. I’m taking a couple of favorites and parlaying them on DraftKings Sportsbook.

West Virginia vs. North Carolina (December 27, 5:30 pm ET)
Louisville vs. USC (December 27, 8:00 pm ET)
WVU/Louisville ML Parlay (-115) — 1-unit
Going against UNC and USC here, both of whom are playing for nothing here. Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are likely the top-two picks in the NFL Draft, and obviously neither of them will be playing in these games. The opt out of the starting quarterbacks has had a trickledown effect, with several key pieces on both the Tar Heels and Trojans sitting out these Bowls.
Pretty much identical handicaps for these two games, which I think makes for a safe parlay on the moneylines with the spreads really growing. West Virginia smashed expectations, going 8-4 this season, as did Louisville, which sits at 10-3 after an appearance in the ACC Championship. Both have minimal opt-outs and should be playing with plenty of motivation to finish the season strong.
Even before all they talented opt-outs on UNC and USC, these teams limped down the stretch. The Tar Heels once sat at 6-0 and were getting some hype to contend for a CFP spot. They responded by finishing the season 2-4 with wins over Campbell and a two-point win over Duke (which was playing a third-string QB). USC finished just 7-5 and remained one of the worst defenses in college football. The Trojans would be riding a six-game losing streak if not for a one-point win at Cal. Remove Williams from this offense, I don’t see how they can keep up.
