Top TE value plays for daily fantasy football in Week 16

We go over some of the best cheap options at TE for the main slate on DraftKings this Sunday.

It was not a fruitful week for tight end values (at least not on DKN). Our plays for Week 15 are forgettable but we’ll try and get back on the horse this week. We’ve got nine games on the Sunday main slate on DraftKings. Let’s go over some tight end value plays.

NFL DFS Picks, Week 16: TE value plays

David Njoku, CLE vs. HOU, $5,300

Njoku isn’t really even a value play at this point if we look at how pricing is for tight ends. But at this price, Njoku is very hard to ignore. He’s coming off back-to-back ceiling games. Njoku has 16 catches on 22 targets for 195 total yards and three TDs. In only took those two games for Njoku to reach his high point in terms of salary on DraftKings for the season. Even at this peak, it still feels super underpriced given the matchup. The Browns are comfortable at 9-5 but still have an outside shot at the AFC North division. Cleveland will want to continue fighting for seeding or to at least clinch. The Texans are also in the playoff chase but have kind of been treading water against bad teams lately. The Browns should get good field position most of this game and Njoku finding the end zone seems likely.

Cole Kmet, CHI vs. ARI, $4,400

Kmet extended his streak of double-digit fantasy points with five catches on seven targets for 23 yards and a score in Week 15 vs. the Browns. The Bears are playing for pride at 5-9 with three games left in the season. Kmet should still continue to see steady targets and has a very nice floor for this price point. The Cardinals aren’t an easy matchup on paper but the Bears are 4-point favorites and the total is at 44 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Kmet isn’t a bad overall TE play. He may not reach a high ceiling but he shouldn’t sink your lineup either.

Tommy Tremble, CAR vs. GB, $2,600

We’re probably too all-in on the Panthers in terms of value against the Packers this week. We also like QB Bryce Young and RB Chuba Hubbard along with Tremble. Since Hayden Hurst went down with injury, Tremble has been playing plenty of snaps. He’s not seeing a ton of targets but you’re also not paying up too much at near min-price for TEs. The Packers have a decent pass rush but their secondary has been awful. So we could see Young pressured into short throws to Tremble. If he can get to around 4-5 catches, that’s all we need really. The upside is definitely there against a bad defense.
