Week 15 comes to a close as the Philadelphia Eagles and the Seattle Seahawks face off on Monday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET from Lumen Field, and the Eagles enter as road favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Both Jalen Hurts and Geno Smith are questionable heading into the matchup.
Here are some of the best options to consider as you prepare your DFS lineup strategy for this Monday night matchup.
NFL DFS Showdown strategy: Eagles vs. Seahawks
Captain’s Picks
D’Andre Swift, RB, Eagles ($12,000)
Swift hasn’t been a big earner over the last few weeks, but he’s probably the best pick on the Eagles for the captain’s spot in this matchup. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is questionable with an illness, and even if he does play, he may not be at full strength. The Eagles will lean on the rushing offense, particularly because Seattle has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing RBs in the league this season.
DK Metcalf, WR, Seahawks ($14,400)
Metcalf may be catching passes from Geno Smith and he may be catching passes from Drew Lock, but either way, we can expect him to be a big earner for Seattle this evening. He has scored four touchdowns in the Seahawks’ last two games, grabbing one from Lock and three from Smith. Expect to see him in the end zone in this matchup.
FLEX Options
Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks ($6,600)
I chose Lockett over Walker here because the Eagles have one of the best rushing defenses in the country, and because Lockett was Drew Lock’s top target last week. Geno Smith is still questionable, and Lock found Lockett six times for 89 yards against the 49ers. Whether Smith or Lock plays, we can expect to see Lockett frequently worked into the rotation.
AJ Brown, WR, Eagles ($11,200)
Brown will be a top target whether Hurts or backup Marcus Mariota plays. It’s never a bad idea to bet on Brown, who has surpassed 90 receiving yards in each of his last two games, despite the Eagles’ losses in that stretch.
Players to avoid
Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles ($11,400)
Hurts has been ill all week, and he may not be playing at full strength today if he’s even able to play. At this high price point, there are more reliable choices to make in this matchup, considering the circumstances.
Kenneth Walker, RB, Seahawks ($7,800)
Walker was shut down by the Niners last week, gaining just 21 yards on eight carries. The Eagles’ rushing defense is among the best in the nation. Walker is not someone I’d gamble on today.
