The 2023 NCAA Division I Volleyball Championships have arrived in Tampa, with three No. 1 seeds and a No. 2 fighting for the trophy at Amalie Arena. ESPN will broadcast the semifinal matches on December 14, with the national championship set for December 17.

Semifinal 1: No. 1 Pitt Panthers vs. No. 1 Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Pitt Panthers are back in the Final Four for the third-straight season. Their reverse-sweep of Louisville in the regional final, their second over their conference-mate Cardinals in 2023. But the leader of this year’s group is freshman right side Olivia Babcock, who leads the team with 3.61 kills per set on a .311 hitting average.
Nebraska might be the most complete team in the country, with Florida transfer Merritt Beason the star for a team in search of its first title since 2017. Freshman setter Bergen Reilly has been terrific in all six rotations for the Cornhuskers, who have just one loss in 2023; a sweep at Wisconsin in Big Ten play.

Semifinal 2: No. 2 Texas Longhorns vs. No. 1 Wisconsin Badgers
Texas is the only non-chalk team to reach Tampa, and did so behind a member of last year’s national champion in Madisen Skinner. Skinner had 24 kills on 47 swings with six errors in the Longhorns four-set win over Stanford to advance.
Wisconsin enters as the favorites to win it all at DraftKings Sportsbook. The 2021 national champions have the most balance of any team remaining, with Sarah Franklin leading all hitters at 4.19 kills per set on a .305 average. The Badgers have outblocked opponents 3.09 to 1.45 per set this season, and will run a 6-2 offensive system behind two setters in Izzy Ashburn and MJ Hammill.
