This week, they travel to face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. They cannot clinch the NFC East this week, but they can clinch a playoff berth with a win and some helo.
Philadelphia Eagles playoff clinching scenarios – Week 14
We’ll pass on the scenarios featuring an Eagles tie since that is fairly unlikely. They need a win over the Cowboys on Sunday night, which is tough enough in its own right. They’re traveling to Arlington, Texas, where the Cowboys are unbeaten and playing some strong football. Dallas is a 3.5-point favorite to win at DraftKings Sportsbook.
If Philly gets the win, they’ll then need some help from the NFC West or the NFC North. If the Seahawks lose to the 49ers or the Rams lose to the Ravens, the Eagles clinch a playoff berth with a win. The Seahawks are an 11-point underdog and the Rams are a 7.5-point underdog. The Eagles should get a loss from one of those two.
The NFC North matchups require loss by the Packers to the Giants and also the Lions to the Bears. Green Bay is a 6.5-point road favorite on Monday while Detroit is a 3.5-point road favorite on Sunday.
If the Eagles lose to the Cowboys, Dallas will move into a tie for first place and claim first for now due to a slightly better divisional record. If the Eagles win, they’ll take a two-game lead with four games remaining and also hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.
