Trevor Lawrence suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 13, but was seen at practice on Thursday, per Michael DiRocco. Lawrence’s injury appeared to be bad enough to keep him out a few games, but it looks like he will at least have a shot to play this week. If he can’t, backup C.J. Beathard would get the start against the Browns.

Trevor Lawrence injury updates

Friday PM update: Lawrence is officially questionable and considered a game-time decision. His backup, C.J. Beathard, has been removed from the injury report.

Friday update: Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said that Lawrence will probably be a game-time decision on Sunday and that the QB is feeling good.

Thursday update: Lawrence was officially listed as a limited practice participant on Thursday. With another limited practice on Friday, he could head into the weekend as questionable with a shot at playing on Sunday.

Thursday update: Lawrence was practicing and will likely be considered limited. The team could easily hold him out this week, but there’s a chance he’ll be a game-time decision against the Browns.

Wednesday update: Lawrence did not practice Wednesday, but appeared to be walking well and wasn’t wearing a boot when talking to reporters.

Fantasy football analysis

The Jaguars offense needs Lawrence out there to elevate their chances of putting up fantasy points, especially against a tough defense like the Browns. Beathard woud be a downgrade for the group as a whole.

Betting analysis

We would likely see the line move on this game if it looked like Lawrence was going to play. The total has dropped to 30.5 after Lawrence and Christian Kirk’s injuries along with some chance of poor weather. If Lawrence plays, that number would likely rise.
