The Green Bay Packers will play their biggest game of the season against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, December 4. The Packers have won back-to-back games, most recently on the road against the Detroit Lions. Green Bay has found success despite not having starting running back Aaron Jones. He has been dealing with a knee injury suffered in Week 11.

Aaron Jones injury updates

Friday PM update: Jones has been ruled OUT for Sunday’s game against Kansas City.

Friday update: Jones was not spotted at practice on Friday, per Rob Demovsky. This means he is likely to miss this week against the Chiefs. A.J. Dillon should see the lead role again.

Thursday update: Jones did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.

Fantasy football analysis

When Jones is healthy, he can be one of the best running backs in fantasy football. He is a talented runner but is equally as talented as a pass-catcher. Jones has only suited up for seven games this year and has 245 yards and two touchdowns on 66 carries. He has brought in 19 of his 30 targets for 169 yards and a touchdown.

The Chiefs’ defense allows middle-of-the-road numbers to opposing running backs. If Jones is healthy, he is a risky play. He would be coming off a knee injury, especially when Green Bay can ride AJ Dillon, who has been playing well in relief. If Jones is active, try and sit him in leagues smaller than 14 teams. Dillon can be started in 10-team leagues or larger if Jones sits and in 12-team leagues or larger if Jones is active.
