We’ve got nine games on Thursday’s NBA slate for the final day of November, anchored by a doubleheader on NBATV. Here’s a look at the day’s injury report, along with the relevant fantasy and betting implications.
NBA Injury Report: November 30
Trail Blazers vs. Cavaliers
No notable day-to-day injuries for either team at this time.
Hornets vs. Nets
LaMelo Ball (ankle) – OUT, expected to miss significant time
Brandon Miller (ankle) – OUT
Update: Miller is out, so Hayward and Washington are the top forwards for Charlotte Thursday.
Terry Rozier and James Bouknight will man the backcourt with Ball out. If Miller doesn’t play, Gordon Hayward and P.J. Washington will get more usage at the forward spots.
Cam Thomas (ankle) – probable
Royce O’Neale (hip) – OUT
Thomas, the team’s best scorer prior to his ankle injury, is set to return for this game. Look for him to be back to his usual self.
Pistons vs. Knicks
No notable day-to-day injuries for either team at this time.
Pacers vs. Heat
Bam Adebayo (hip) – available
Jimmy Butler (ankle) – available
Haywood Highsmith (back) – available
Duncan Robinson (thumb) – available
Update: Butler is in for Miami.
Update: It appears the Heat are going to engage in some injury reporting games with Butler but everyone else is in for Miami.
Adebayo and Robinson should be in. If Butler is able to return, he’ll take some usage away from Josh Richardson and Caleb Martin.
Hawks vs. Spurs
Jeremy Sochan (knee) – available
Victor Wembanyama (hip) – available
Doug McDermott (illness) – OUT
Update: Wemby is in for San Antonio.
We’ve got our first Wemby appearance on the injury report, and it appears to be from normal usage. Injuries were going to be a concern for the No. 1 pick, especially ones involving the lower body. Look for Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell to take on more responsibility if Wembanyama sits. Sochan should be in for San Antonio.
Lakers vs. Thunder
Anthony Davis (hip/groin) – available
LeBron James (calf) – available
Jaxson Hayes (elbow) – OUT
Update: Davis and James are expected to play, while Hayes is truly more questionable since his injury occurred Wednesday.
We’ll see how the Lakers handle Davis, James and Hayes on the second night of a back-to-back set. Hayes suffered his elbow injury Wednesday, so his status is more unclear. Davis will likely be probable and James will likely be questionable.
Bucks vs. Bulls
Pat Connaughton (ankle) – OUT
Connaughton being ruled out means more minutes for Malik Beasley and MarJon Beauchamp.
Alex Caruso (toe) – available
DeMar DeRozan (ankle) – OUT
Zach LaVine (foot) – OUT
Update: Caruso is in, but both DeRozan and LaVine have been ruled out. Coby White gets a big boost in fantasy/DFS lineups, while Nikola Vucevic becomes the primary offensive option for Chicago.
All three players seem to be likely to go, even with questionable tags.
Jazz vs. Timberwolves
Lauri Markkanen (hamstring) – OUT
Jordan Clarkson (shoulder) – OUT
Kelly Olynyk (shoulder) – available
Update: Olynyk is in and will get a nice boost in minutes with Markkanen out. Clarkson being out means more usage for Collin Sexton.
We’ll see if Markkanen plays in this game but if he remains out, John Colins should see more minutes as a combo forward with Jordan Clarkson getting more shots.
Anthony Edwards (hip) – OUT
Edwards is set to be out, which means Kyle Anderson is likely to get the start with Nickeil Alexander-Walker also in line for more minutes. Karl-Anthony Towns will likely be the primary offensive option, with Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert also seeing some extra shots.
Clippers vs. Warriors
Kawhi Leonard (rest) – available
Paul George (rest) – available
Norman Powell (knee) – available
Update: Powell is in for LA.
Update: It looks like Leonard and George are both in. Powell is questionable and his injury occurred Wednesday evening so he’s truly a 50-50 call.
These stars have not rested on back-to-backs so far this season, but we’ll put them on the report just in case.
Chris Paul (leg) – OUT
Gary Payton II (calf) – OUT
Andrew Wiggins (finger) – OUT
Update: Wiggins has been ruled out with a finger issue, meaning Golden State’s best perimeter defender will be sidelined for this contest. Look for Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga to absorb those minutes.
Brandin Podziemski is in line to get a lot of playing time with Paul sidelined Thursday.
