Week 13 of the NFL season kicks off with a showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video and will see two different teams on two different trajectories go head-to-head. The Seahawks are fresh off a dominating loss to a division rival, while the Cowboys easily handled the Commanders on Thanksgiving.

For DFS players, we have the breakdown of the best lineup strategy for Thursday’s game.

NFL DFS Showdown strategy: Seahawks vs. Cowboys

Captain’s Picks

Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys ($16,500)

Prescott is averaging 22.2 DKFP per game this season and is fresh off a dominating win over the Washington Commanders. He totaled 35.2 DKFP by virtue of throwing for 331 yards and four touchdowns, and who can say he can’t put together another dominant performance against Seattle? The Seahawks are allowing 17.9 DKFP per game to quarterbacks, but with the Cowboys at home, Prescott has a solid opportunity to put up big numbers once again.

DK Metcalf, WR, Seattle Seahawks ($14,400)

Seattle’s offense is far from a sight for sore eyes over the last few weeks, but that’s not to say Metcalf should be benched as a result. If the Seahawks are faced with an early double-digit deficit, the negative game script could work in Metcalf’s favor, especially with potential garbage time scoring opportunities. He remains a must-start given his clear role as Seattle’s best offensive weapon.

FLEX Options

CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys ($11,400)

Make it six straight games in double-digit DFKP scoring for Lamb, who’s easily become Prescott’s go-to target within that span. Brandin Cooks had a bit of an expanded role in last week’s blowout for the Commanders, but Lamb still finished with a solid 17.3 DKFP. Seattle is allowing 37.3 DKFP per game to opposing receivers, so look for Lamb to put together more stacked numbers in Week 13.

Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks ($6,800)

It was a forgettable night for much of the Seahawks offense on Thanksgiving, but a silver lining was the fact that Charbonnet led Seattle in rushing and receiving. Albeit, it was just for 47 yards on the ground and 11 through the air, but he’s worth adding as a flex in Week 13 with Kenneth Walker III likely to miss another week. The matchup isn’t great, but if he’s logging RB1 carries, he remains on the DFS radar.

Players to Avoid

Geno Smith, QB, Seattle Seahawks ($9,200)

It was a rough outing for Smith on Thanksgiving, as he finished with just 180 passing yards and an interception for 8.3 DKFP. Perhaps it was a combination of his health and a stingy 49ers defense, but Smith and this Seahawks offense has looked far from capable over the last few weeks. He can’t be trusted in DFS lineups until further notice.

Jake Ferguson, TE, Dallas Cowboys ($6,200)

Ferguson finished with just one catch on three targets for 35 yards on Thanksgiving, as Prescott effectively spread the ball to multiple receivers. While he could surely bounce back on Thursday night, his recent track record doesn’t bode well in his favor. He hasn’t surpassed more than 35 receiving yards since back in Week 9, and he’s now riding back-to-back games of single-digit DKFP.
