The Los Angeles Rams will hit the road this Sunday for their Week 12 showdown against the Arizona Cardinals, and wide receiver Cooper Kupp is dealing with an ankle injury ahead of the matchup. Kupp sustained the injury while blocking during their victory over the Seattle Seahawks this past week, and his status is up in the air.
Cooper Kupp injury updates
Friday PM update: Kupp was a full practice participant on Friday and is off the final injury report.
Friday update: Kupp is expected to play on Sunday, per head coach Sean McVay.
Thursday PM update: Kupp was listed on the practice report as a limited participant on Friday. This is a step in the right direction, but it will likely take a full practice participation on Friday to avoid an injury designation heading into the weekend.
Thursday update: The Athletic’s Diana Russini reported that Kupp is expected to return to practice this afternoon. He was seen on the field prior to practice.
Wednesday update: Kupp didn’t practice on Wednesday, but is on a normal week with the Rams playing on Sunday. He will have two more days to practice before injury designations on Friday.
Monday PM update: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Kupp is considered day-to-day ahead of this Sunday’s showdown against the Cardinals. The Rams are taking extra caution considering an ankle injury ended his 2022 campaign around this time last year.
Fantasy football analysis
Kupp’s status will obviously have to be monitored throughout the week and his participation in practice will reveal whether or not he’ll be able to go in the NFC West matchup. If he misses the game, rookie Puka Nacua then becomes their top option and could be in for a big day.
Betting analysis
The Rams enter the week as a slight one-point favorite, but that line could slightly move up if Kupp is healthy.
