With no games on Thanksgiving day, we’ve got a massive NBA slate Wednesday with 14 games on tap anchored by a doubleheader on ESPN. Here’s a look at the day’s injury report along with the relevant fantasy and betting implications.
NBA Injury Report: November 22
Nuggets vs. Magic
No notable day-to-day injuries at this time. The Magic are on the second night of a back-to-back set so they won’t release an injury report until later in the day. Jamal Murray is out Wednesday but considered doubtful for Friday, so he’s progressing towards a return.
Wizards vs. Hornets
Deni Avdija (illness) – available
If Avdija is sidelined, look for Corey Kispert and Johnny Davis to see extended playing time.
Terry Rozier (groin) – OUT
P.J. Washington (foot) – OUT
Rozier remains out for the Hornets with a groin issue, meaning LaMelo Ball will be the top guard in this offense.
Nets vs. Hawks
Dejounte Murray (quad) – available
Update: Murray is in for the Hawks.
Murray is questionable on the second night of a back-to-back set. If he sits out, Bogdan Bogdanovic likely gets the start for Atlanta and Trae Young will be the lead point guard.
Heat vs. Cavaliers
Bam Adebayo (hip) – OUT
Kevin Love (personal) – OUT
Update: Nothing says “probable” to ruled out like a Heat injury report. Adebayo will sit tonight’s contest, which means Thomas Robinson is likely to be the starter for the Heat.
Adebayo should be in for Miami and will be the lead big man.
Donovan Mitchell (hamstring) – OUT
Caris LeVert (knee) – available
Both guys were out for Tuesday’s game. Mitchell is more likely to be out, while LeVert was questionable Tuesday so there’s a chance he could play Wednesday.
Bucks vs. Celtics
MarJon Beauchamp (ankle) – available
Damian Lillard (oblique) – available
Both guys should be in for Milwaukee.
Jayson Tatum (illness) – available
Update: Tatum is in for the Celtics.
Typically, a late add to the injury report with an illness rules the player out. However, Tatum might power through the issue Wednesday given the opponent and the rest day Thursday. If he is ruled out, Jaylen Brown and Jrue Holiday will see more usage in Boston’s offense.
Raptors vs. Pacers
Both teams played Tuesday, so they’ll release an injury report later in the day. We’ll see if Indiana rests anyone after playing a high-scoring game Tuesday.
Bulls vs. Thunder
Alex Caruso (toe) – available
Zach LaVine (foot) – available
Patrick Williams (finger) – available
Update: As expected, everyone is in for Chicago.
Chicago’s rotation should be intact with all three guys listed as probable.
Jalen Williams (hip) – OUT
The starting power forward is sidelined, which means some more playing time for Ousmane Dieng and Jaylin Williams.
Clippers vs. Spurs
Devin Vassell (groin) – available
Update: Vassell is in for San Antonio.
If Vassell returns to the lineup, he’ll likely be taking minutes away from Malaki Branham and shots away from Keldon Johnson.
Grizzlies vs. Rockets
No notable day-to-day injuries for either team at this time.
76ers vs. Timberwolves
Joel Embiid (hip) – OUT
Tobias Harris (rest) – available
Tyrese Maxey (rest) – available
Update: Embiid will sit tonight’s contest due to hip soreness. That means Paul Reed should be the starting center for Philadelphia.
We’ll see if the 76ers rest any of their key players on the second night of a back-to-back set.
Jaden McDaniels (ankle) – OUT
Minnesota’s best defender is out, which means more minutes on the wing for Kyle Anderson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
Kings vs. Pelicans
Keegan Murray (back) – OUT
Update: As expected, Murray has been ruled out. Duarte is available for the Kings.
Murray wasn’t present at the team’s shootaround, and it appears Chris Duarte was in line to get the start given the rosters for the scrimmage. We’ll get an official designation at some point regarding the Kings forward.
Warriors vs. Suns
Draymond Green (suspension) – OUT
Green remains out, which means more minutes in the frontcourt for Kevon Looney and Jonathan Kuminga.
Devin Booker (rest) – available
Kevin Durant (rest) – available
We’ll see how the Suns manage their stars on the second night of a back-to-back set.
Jazz vs. Trail Blazers
Scoot Henderson (ankle) – available
Deandre Ayton (back) – OUT
Update: Ayton is a late scratch with a back issue. Moses Brown could see playing time as a result.
Update: Henderson is set to play off the bench and will have a minutes limit, which suggests he’s returning a bit sooner than Portland would like. However, he is good to go for the contest and is worth a look as a value play in DFS lineups.
The Blazers rookie is set to return from an ankle injury he suffered early in the season. He’s officially listed as questionable but that’s usually the tag players get when they’re about to return. He’ll immediately step in as the lead guard ahead of Malcolm Brogdon, though Shaedon Sharpe will continue to have heavy usage in this offense.
Mavericks vs. Lakers
Anthony Davis (hip/groin) – available
LeBron James (calf) – available
Cam Reddish (groin) – OUT
Update: Both Davis and James are in and will start for the Lakers.
Update: As expected, Davis is probable and James is questionable. Both are expected to suit up.
Both Lakers stars played a back-to-back set earlier with these injuries, so all indications point to them suiting up again. Davis will likely be listed as probable and James will likely be tagged as questionable.
