Tyjae Spears start or sit: Week 11 fantasy football advice

Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11. After a great start to the season, Spears has been relatively quiet. Many appear to be out on him in season-long fantasy, which makes sense. But he has a strong future with the Titans.

Fantasy Football analysis: Titans RB Tyjae Spears

In nine games played, Spears has 44 carries for 234 yards and a touchdown. He also has 26 receptions for 166 yards. We saw him have a solid showing in the passing game last week where he caught four passes for 42 yards. Down the stretch, it seems his only upside in the passing game.

Start or sit in Week 11 PPR leagues?

In all PPR leagues, whether it’s 8-man or 14-man, Spears should sit this week. PPR is the only place that Spears should be considered in fantasy, but this is a Derrick Henry week. Through the past four years, Henry has broken out against the Jaguars so many times. I just don’t see the passing game having a ton of success this week which is the only place that Spears really has a role right now.

Start or sit in Week 11 standard leagues?

Just like in PPR leagues, Spears should sit this week. I just expect Derrick Henry to be the bell-cow this week. These are probably his last few games with the Titans and they’ll want to get all they can out of him. He’s one of the best players in Titans history, so I would expect him to finish strong in what is more than likely his last season there.

Player(s) you would start ahead of Tyjae Spears

Spears is the No. 39 running back by FantasyPros consensus rankings. Khalil Herbert and Antonio Gibson are two running backs that I would start over Spears around him in the rankings. Herbert will have a strong game in his return from the IR and Gibson is looking like he’ll have another big day in the Commanders’ passing game.
