After yet another one-possession defeat, the Green Bay Packers look to rebound at Lambeau Field against the Los Angeles Chargers. In order to do that, they will need significant contributions from their young receiving corps, including rookie tight end Luke Musgrave.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers TE Luke Musgrave
In recent weeks, Musgrave has both steadily increased his role in the offense and recorded some long receptions. After hauling in his career first touchdown two weeks ago, he delivered a two-catch, 64-yard performance this past Sunday. Musgrave remains on pace to tie or break the Packers’ rookie reception record currently held by former All-Pro wideout Sterling Sharpe.
However, as always, rookie tight ends remain difficult to trust. Musgrave might have a significant role in the Packers offense, but his target total can still fluctuate significantly week to week. Facing an opponent like the Chargers, he might have to stay in and block more frequently than he has the past two games.
Start or sit in Week 11 PPR leagues?
Sit. Fantasy managers who’ve watched Musgrave over the past two weeks might feel tempted to give him a shot this week. However, the Chargers have given up just three touchdowns to tight ends so far this season, and Musgrave’s target share remains in flux. Outside of leagues with more than 12 teams, let him prove it again.
Start or sit in Week 11 standard leagues?
Sit. Just as in PPR formats, the path to a decent performance seems more difficult to traverse than other options most managers will have this week.
Player(s) you would start ahead of Luke Musgrave
DKN recommends starting the Chicago Bears’ Cole Kmet or the Philadelphia Eagles’ Jack Stoll over Musgrave this week.
