After yet another one-possession defeat, the Green Bay Packers look to rebound at Lambeau Field against the Los Angeles Chargers. In order to do that, they will need significant contributions from their young receiving corps, including rookie wideout Jayden Reed.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers WR Jayden Reed
Though the Packers’ passing game has battled inconsistencies throughout the season, Reed has recently emerged as a bright spot. Quarterback Jordan Love has looked Reed’s way more often the past three weeks, resulting in 12 catches for 186 yards and a touchdown. Just as importantly, the Packers have used the rookie on more deep routes. Last week, Reed caught the 46-yard reception that set up a potential game-winning touchdown.
While Reed appears likely to further expand his role over the rest of the season, that doesn’t automatically equate to week-to-week reliability from a fantasy perspective. He might make more sense as a waiver claim to stash on the bench than a Week 11 starting option outside of deep leagues.
Start or sit in Week 11 PPR leagues?
Sit. Reed might currently lead the Packers in receiving yards, but he remains behind multiple pass catchers in the pecking order. Love has targeted Romeo Doubs nearly 25% more entering Week 11 and rookie tight end Luke Musgrave has also seen plenty of attention lately. Reed comes close to starting territory in fantasy leagues with 12 teams, but give it a little more time before pushing him into your lineup.
Start or sit in Week 11 standard leagues?
Sit. The same principles from the PPR section apply here. If Reed has another performance with touchdowns and/or long gains, consider him in future weeks.
Player(s) you would start ahead of Jayden Reed
DKN recommends starting the Buffalo Bills’ Gabriel Davis or Pittsburgh Steelers’ George Pickens over Reed in Week 11.
