Jalen Guyton start or sit: Week 11 fantasy football advice

After losing another heartbreaker last Sunday, the Los Angeles Chargers will look to rebound on the road against the Green Bay Packers. In order to do that, they will need their receiving corps to step up, including veteran Jalen Guyton.

Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers WR Jalen Guyton

After spending much of the 2023 season on the physically unable-to-perform list, Guyton made his return two weeks ago. A quiet debut suggested Guyton might need more time before carving out a role, but last Sunday’s four-catch, 41-yard, one-touchdown performance highlighted the kind of big-play ability he still offers.

Guyton’s recovery comes at a critical time. Fellow wide receivers Josh Palmer and Mike Williams currently reside on injured reserve, with the latter done for the season with a torn ACL. Meanwhile, rookie wideout Quentin Johnston looks like a work in progress. Guyton doesn’t have the upside of any of those players, but he does offer some experience.

Start or sit in Week 11 PPR leagues?

Sit. Guyton has a bigger role with Palmer and Williams sidelined, but Quentin Johnston seems like the next man up for the Chargers. Guyton’s big-play ability could even the gap, but he hasn’t shown that degree of consistency during his NFL career.

Start or sit in Week 11 standard leagues?

Sit. The same concerns apply to standard formats. Guyton probably needs a touchdown for managers to feel good about starting him, and he hasn’t shown that consistency during his first nine NFL games.

DKN recommends starting the Denver Broncos’ Jerry Jeudy or the Buffalo Bills’ Khalil Shakir over Guyton this week.
