NFL Week 11 action includes a matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers. Tampa Bay has hopes of upsetting San Francisco and their tough defensive front. In order to do so, the Bucs passing attack will need productive plays down the field.
Chris Godwin has been a consistent receiver for Baker Mayfield this season. Let’s dive into Godwin’s projections and if he is worth a fantasy start heading into Week 11.
Fantasy Football analysis: Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin
Godwin hauled in four receptions for 54 yards last week against the Titans. Playing opposite of Mike Evans, Godwin has been a steady No. 2 for the Bucs all season. Despite only scoring one touchdown on the season, Godwin has 44 catches for 522 yards so far.

START. There is no denying how well Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead can get after a QB, but the 49ers secondary has been underwhelming of late. This season San Francisco has allowed the 8th-most fantasy points to WRs. This is a good spot for Godwin, as he’ll likely line up against Ambry Thomas. Lean toward Godwin being a FLEX option.
Start or sit in Week 11 standard leagues?
START. Godwin has been targeted 5 times or more every game this season. That target share only makes him a confident start, even if the game turns into a blowout, Godwin will be featured on passing plays. The 49ers have struggled to contain receivers, allowing Christian Kirk to have 100+ yards receiving just last week. Expect Godwin to also get some looks in the red-zone, making him a legit FLEX candidate.
