In one of the more lopsided matchups on paper, the Dallas Cowboys hit the road to face the the Carolina Panthers, who hold the NFL’s worst record. Kickoff from Bank of America Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, and in what is very much a David vs. Goliath matchup, there could be more than a few big-player performances on display.
Here are a few of the best player prop bets as the Cowboys face the Panthers on Sunday.
Cowboys vs. Panthers player prop bets
Dak Prescott — Under 260.5 passing yards (-115)
Prescott has been a passing tear over his last three games, finishing with over 300 yards through the air in each contest. Dallas enters as clear favorites against Carolina, but if they jump out to an early double-digit lead there’s no reason to believe Prescott won’t be needed to win the game with his arm.
That belief is on top of the fact that the Panthers have been one of the more respected passing defenses this season, allowing just 176.4 yards per game through the air (6th).
Bryce Young — Over 21.5 passing completions (+124)
Young has completed at least 20 passes in every single game this season, his lone game with 20 completions was way back in Week 1. He’s never completed more than 25 passes, but finishing somewhere in between that range feels feasible even if the Panthers’ offense has been far from efficient. He could easily hit the over on this prop if Carolina plays from behind early, forcing Young to throw as a result of the negative game script.
Tony Pollard — Over 67.5 rushing yards (-110)
While the Panthers’ pass defense has been top-notch, the same can’t be said for their run defense. Carolina is being gashed for 131.9 yards per game on the ground, which ranks 26th in the league. Pollard has finished with more than 67 rushing yards just three times this season, but it’s been more of the Cowboys relying on Prescott to win them games.
For once, the game script could call for Dallas to lean on their running back, which puts Pollard in an excellent position to hit the over on his rushing total.
