The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes will hit the road this afternoon for a Big Ten showdown against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at noon ET and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is expected to play according to head coach Ryan Day. Egbuka has been dealing with an undisclosed injury and has missed the last three games for the Buckeyes. There was speculation if he’d play in last week’s victory over Wisconsin, but Day sand the coaching staff ultimately decided to keep him out for one more week.
This is good news for OSU to get its No. 2 receiver back in time for the home stretch of the season. The junior last played in their 37-17 victory over Maryland on October 7, a game where he hauled in three receptions for 40 yards. He has 22 receptions for 303 yards and three touchdowns on the year heading into today’s matchup.
