Update: No official word, but it appears Matthew Stafford’s day may be done.
Matthew Stafford is on the sideline in a baseball cap, still in uniform, right hand/thumb/wrist taped up.

Update: Matthew Stafford has once again left the game and is heading to the locker room. His thumb has continued to bother him in the third quarter. Given how poorly this game has gone for the Rams, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Brett Rypien take over the rest of the way and for the team to effectively waive the white flag.
Update: Matthew Stafford has returned to the game.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered a thumb injury in the first half of today’s Week 8 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. He was seen getting it checked on the sidelines. The game is currently at halftime, so we’ll find out his status coming out of the locker room.

Had his right thumb bent then slightly caught in the defenders helmet.
Dropped down in a decent amount of pain.
Concern for thumb UCL injury.
I’ll be surprised if he plays 2nd half. pic.twitter.com/LUJoHT0O5v
More to come.
