Update: Even though he has been cleared to return after passing his concussion test, Desmond Ridder has been benched as Taylor Heinicke will take the reigns at quarterback for the rest of the contest.
Update: Desmond Ridder was evaluated for a concussion and has been cleared to return to today’s game.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder is being evaluated for a concussion in their Week 8 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Ridder played the entire first half of the contest and backup Taylor Heinicke has come in for the Falcons to start the second half.
The Falcons’ offense struggled to get much going in the first half and are currently trailing the Titans. Ridder went 8-12 for 71 yards through the air and also added 26 rushing yards on the ground. However, he has lost a fumble and the team will most likely turn to Heinicke to provide a spark down the stretch.
