The NBA season opens on Tuesday night with two games, which means there aren’t a ton of options to consider when it comes to DFS value plays. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value, NBA DFS differs.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays $5K or under that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double-Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Grayson Allen, Phoenix Suns, $4,900
Allen sneaks in under the $5k threshold and should provide plenty of value. The team hasn’t said whether or not he’ll be in the starting lineup or second unit, but he’s an adept wing scorer who can shoot. While he might not average 20 DKFP a game like he did last year, he’s still a solid option. Bradley Beal is set to be sidelined, which means Allen is in line for big minutes.
Jonathan Kuminga, Warriors, $4,600
The breakout star of the preseason, Kuminga enters the season with plenty of hype behind him. He opened the preseason with three 20-point performances, and could be in line for a big role in the opener with Draymond Green ruled out due to an ankle injury.
Gabe Vincent, Lakers, $4,500
It’s time to see if Heat Culture travels. Vincent averaged 18.8 DKFP per game last year with the Heat, and is due for a sizable role off the bench with the Lakers this year. He was just cleared to play after missing the end of the preseason with an ankle injury, and should be one of the first options off the bench for LA.
