What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 11?
Cook pumped out another tremendous game on SNF, playing a key role in an upset road victory over the Cowboys. Cook racked up 33 touches, posting a 26-97-1 line of the ground, and bringing in all seven of his targets for another 86 yards (31.3 DKFP). Week 11 sets up another smash spot for Cook, which brings his salary up $700 to $8,900.
Cook and the Vikings are double-digit favorites at home against the Broncos — who rank 22nd in DKFP allowed to RB. As he’s been all season, Cook should be considered a top-three RB option in season-long and DFS.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 10?
Cook had his second-worst game of the season in Week 9 against the Chiefs. While he managed 15.6 DKFP, the timing was inopportune. Cook was an expensive play at $9,500, and saw plenty of ownership given the matchup. Cook’s salary comes down $400 for Week 10, which makes him an intriguing play against the Cowboys.
You’re obviously locking Cook into season-long lineups, but he’s in a solid DFS spot. Dallas ranks just 26th in DKFP allowed to the RB position, leaving Cook in a bounce-back spot. Given this is the Sunday night slate, Cook won’t be on the main slate on DK, but he’s a very viable play on any slate you play that he’s available on.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 9?
Another week, another monster game for Cook. He carried 23 times for 98 yards and a touchdown, bringing in 5-of-6 targets for another 73 yards against Washington (28.1 DKFP). It’s the sixth time in eight games Cook’s scored 27 or more DKFP, having been the most consistent fantasy option outside of Christian McCaffrey this season.
Cook’s a spectacular option this week against the Chiefs, who will almost certainly be without Patrick Mahomes. That give Minnesota a chance to jump out to a lead in this one, and then ride Cook. Kansas City has allowed the fourth-most DKFP to RB this season, giving Cook plenty of upside. The only cause for concern is on DraftKings, with his salary reaching $9,500. You’ll need to target plenty of value to fit Cook in your lineup.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 8?
While it’s a short week, Cook’s in a spectacular spot, as a huge home favorite against Washington on Thursday night. Washington ranks just 23rd in DKFP allowed to the RB position, and Adam Thielen will likely be out with a hamstring injury — which means continuing to lean on the running game.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 7?
Cook had his worst fantasy effort of the season in Week 6, gaining just 41 yards on 16 carries against a stout Eagles run defense. A touchdown managed to somewhat save his day, but the 13.4 DKFP for $8,400 were a huge disappointment. The matchup sets up much better for Cook in Week 7, on the road against a Detroit defense that’s allowing the third-most DKFP per game to RB.
Cook’s still averaging 25 DKFP through six games, and should see plenty of touches against a Lions front seven that let Jamaal Adams top 100 rushing yards on just 14 carries. The only thing limiting Cook’s ceiling is the emergence of Alexander Mattison, who did mix in for a career-high 14 carries, and had a better YPC with 63 yards. Cook is still an elite fantasy play, and should remain in a workhorse role, but this is just something to monitor.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 6?
Cook’s dominance continued in Week 5 against the Giants, despite failing to reach the end zone for the first time this season. While it would’ve been nice to pile it on, Cook easily returned value, rushing for 132 yards on 21 carries, while catching all six of his targets for another 83 yards (29.8 DKFP). Cook’s now averaging 27.2 DKFP, while scoring no fewer than 19 in any individual game.
Outside of Christian McCaffrey, Cook’s been the best fantasy option on the board. He’ll remain $8,400 on DraftKings this week, but the matchup is more difficult against the Eagles, who rank fifth in DKFP allowed to RB this week. Ezekiel Elliott ($8,500) will garner plenty of ownership against the Jets this week, so maybe you can get lower ownership on Cook. Cook’s obviously a no-brainer in your season-long leagues.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 5?
Cook had his toughest task of the season in Chicago, but despite just 2.5 YPC, and the Vikings playing from behind the entire game, he still found a way to produce. The 14 carries for 35 yards weren’t ideal, but Cook found the end zone for the fourth straight week, and was heavily featured in the passing game — six receptions for 35 yards on eight targets.
Cook’s salary climbs $100 to $8,400 in Week 5, but should prove worth it as 5.5-point favorites against the Giants. New York is more vulnerable if you target the defense through the air, but the Vikings have made their intensions clear — the run game comes first. Cook’s had at least 20 touches in every game this season, and don’t expect that to change this week. He has one of the safest floors of any Week 5 play, and elite upside.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 4?
Cook has been the focal point of the Vikings’ offense in 2019, and has arguably been the most consistent fantasy player through three games. Cook’s seen no fewer than 20 touches in any game, going for at least 120 combined yards and a touchdown in each game. He’s also topped 100 rushing yards in each game, giving up the bonus points on DraftKings.
Cook is going to be in your season long lineups for the remainder of the season as long as he’s healthy, but his salary on DraftKings has finally caught up to his production. After opening the season at a laughable $6,000, Cook will run us $8,300 in Week 4, in a touch matchup in Chicago.
That said, the toughest defense Cook faced so far was in Green Bay, which proved to be no problem — he actually had a season-high 31.1 DKFP. After injuries controlled the narrative in his first two years in the league, it’s nice to see how dominant Cook can be when healthy. He’s an elite fantasy play every week moving forward.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 3?
Cook’s been the most dominant RB though the first two games of the season. He posted a 20-154-1 line in a Week 2 loss to the Packers, bringing in all three of his targets for another 37 yards. The 31.1 DKFP were just slightly better than his Week 1 performance, which has him averaging over 30 DKFP.
Cook’s salary is rapidly rising, but he was severely underpriced at $6,000 in Week 1 anyway. Now at $7,800, Cook still may be slightly underpriced, averaging more DKFP per game than all four RBs priced above him on the Week 3 main slate. Minnesota’s committed to getting him 20-plus touches per week, and a home matchup against the Raiders should be one Cook is able to continue thriving in.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 2?
We heard all about the Vikings’ plan to become more of a run-focused offense in 2019, but I don’t think any of us saw this coming. Kirk Cousins attempted a mere 10 passing attempts against the Falcons in Week 1, and two of them were actually to Cook. Some of this can be attributed to Minnesota jumping out to a big lead over Atlanta, but the game plan was clearly to keep the ball on the ground.
Cook led the way with 21 carries, going for 111 yards and two touchdowns — 29 DKFP. In terms of the backfield breakdown, Alexander Mattison received nine carries, Ameer Abdullah two, and Cousins actually scampered six times himself. It was an ideal matchup for Cook against Atlanta, but it’s clear that Cook’s going to be the centerpiece of this offense. While his salary will jump $1,200 in Week 2, his workload makes him worth his $7,200 price tag in Green Bay. The Packers defense looked good in Week 1 against the Bears, but this should be a far more difficult task. Cook makes for a strong play on the DK main slate, especially with names like Christian McCaffrey and Nick Cubb playing in primetime games.
Dalvin Cook 2019 fantasy football preview
Cook underperformed from a season-long perspective in 2018, but injuries hindered his season yet again. Rather than the serious ACL tear that ended his rookie season, Cook was banged up early in 2018, playing just 11 games. But once he returned with his health, Cook got into a zone.

Cook concluded 2018 with six consecutive games scoring double-digit DK points, and Minnesota has come out and said it plans to center the offense around the run game in 2019. Cook’s had elite fantasy value every season he’s been in the NFL, but injuries have been the only thing holding him back. If Cook can stay healthy in 2019, he’ll be in line for a monster workload.
We saw flashes of what Cook’s capable of in Week 3 of the preseason, when the starters see the majority of their snaps before they count for real. Cook ripped off an early 85-yard touchdown run against the Cardinals, which was nice to see. When he was on the field in 2018, his role in the passing game with Kirk Cousins was a notable addition. Cook posted a 133-615-2 line as a rusher and added 40 receptions (on 49 targets) for 305 yards and another two scores.
What is Dalvin Cook’s fantasy football status, DFS price for Week 1?
Cook’s Week 1 matchup leaves him in position for a huge game, but at $6,000 in salary on DK, he’s priced in the middle of the pack. As the 12th-most expensive RB on the board in the main slate, Cook faces a Falcons defense that was dead-last in football in DK points allowed to the position last season.
Atlanta also surrendered the most receptions to RB in 2018, which works well with Cook’s growing role in the passing game with Cousins. The Vikings are 4-point favorites at home, and aside from a great matchup, the team should be committed to feeding Cook the ball as part of its new game plan.
