The Tennessee Titans will take on the Miami Dolphins in one of two games scheduled for Monday Night Football in Week 14. The Titans fell to 4-8 on the season after an overtime loss in Week 13. While the loss hurts their chances of the playoffs, the bigger story is that starting running back Derrick Henry sustained a concussion in the game and wasn’t able to return.

Derrick Henry injury updates

Monday PM update: Reports of Henry having a concussion were apparently incorrect. Head coach Mike Vrabel clarified that Henry is not in the concussion protocol and he should be in line to play this week.

Monday update: Henry is confirmed to be in the league’s concussion protocol, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The good news is that he will have an extra day to try and clear the protocols with Tennessee not playing until Monday. If he isn’t able to play, Tyjae Spears is expected to lead the backfield.

Fantasy football analysis

Henry is having another great fantasy football season. He has played in all 12 games and has tallied 847 yards and eight touchdowns on 197 carries. Henry has taken a step back in the passing game, bringing in 22 of his 28 targets for 185 additional yards. Miami’s defense allows the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.

Henry sees as much of a workload as any running back, giving him weekly upside. If he is healthy, you are likely going to start him even in a tough matchup. If he sits, Tyjae Spears can be started in 10-team leagues or larger.
