Former unified lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KOs) defends his WBO junior welterweight belt opposite Steve Claggett (38-7-2, 26 KOs) on Saturday, June 29. The bout is scheduled for 12 rounds and main card coverage gets going live on ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET.

Lopez upset Josh Taylor last June in his debut at 140 pounds, walking away with the WBO & The Ring belts. In February he retained championship status in an underwhelming decision win over Jamaine Ortiz. “The Takeover” is eyeing a big time opponent like Gervonta Davis but must get past Claggett first.

Claggett is a respectable veteran who started his career back in 2008. The orthodox fighter out of Canada has sound experience, but this will be his first 12-round bout.
