Luis Nery vs. Froilan Saludar round-by-round results
Round 1: Saludar 10-9
Saludar was excellent with his right hand, as the massive underdog was able to score against the southpaw with snapping blows behind his leading left. Nery looked a bit tight as the round continued, as if he wasn’t expecting the hand speed.
There’s also a cut over Nery’s right eye, but due to an accidental clash of heads just 75 seconds into the round.
Round 2: Nery wins by TKO (third knockdown at 1:15 of the round)
There’s what we expected, as the power of Nery puts Saludar on the canvas early in the round with a huge right hook. A second flurry in the corner stopped him again, and Saludar barely defended himself under a third corner assault. It was over after the first knockdown, and just a matter of time.
A dominating performance from the Mexican fighter, who moves to 35-1 with 27 KO’s, and cashes as a -1600 favorite.
