The FIFA World Cup is finally back, and the United States Men’s National Team enters this tournament with hopes of making a deep run. 53′: We’ve got simulation! After Tim Ream was mistakenly booked for a blatant Miguel Almirón dive, VAR stepped in to correct the issue. Ream’s yellow card was wiped off the books and instead it was given to Almirón.
46′: Christian Pulisic is shockingly pulled early! The United States’ star is replaced by Sebastian Berhalter, and play resumes at SoFi Stadium with USA up 3-0.
45+5′: Folarin Balogun AGAIN!! A great move to create separation was followed up by an even better finish, as the striker blasted it into the top left corner with his left foot. Shortly following the goal, we reached halftime. Balogun and Pulisic have been the two best players on the pitch, and USMNT will look to build on their 3-0 lead in the second half.
37′: Pulisic comes one foot wide of another assist, as Chris Richards’ header off his corner drifted just right of the post.
31′: THIS ONE COUNTS!! Christian Pulisic provides a stellar delivery to Folarin Balogun, who slots it cleanly first time into the back of the net. Pulisic was +500 to register an assist on DraftKings Sportsbook.
