Brittney Griner suffered an injury to her right eye during Saturday’s game between the Connecticut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks. She suffered the injury in the first half and won’t return for the remainder of the game.
Griner entered the game with a questionable tag due to a rib injury, but she ultimately played and recorded her 6,000th career point. She finished the game with nine points, two rebounds, one assist, and one block in 15 minutes.
