What time does UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Gastelum main card start?

UFC is back for Fight Night on Saturday, August 21st. We break down when the preliminary and main cards start and where to watch.

UFC Fight Night returns on Saturday, August 21 when third-ranked middleweight Jared Cannonier faces off against ninth-ranked Kelvin Gastelum. The preliminary card gets start at 7 p.m. ET and the main card gets started at 10 p.m. The event will air on ESPN and stream on ESPN+.

Cannonier heads to the octagon with a 13-5 career record at age 37, but is still in contention for a title shot. He had won his previous three bouts all by stoppage before a unanimous decision loss to Robert Whittaker at UFC 254 in October of last year.

Gastelum is still in the rankings despite having lost four of his last five bouts. This is his third fight of 2021, having beaten Ian Heinisch but also losing to Whittaker, both by unanimous decision. With the the losses piling up, this might be an important fight for his future in the promotion.
