UFC returns to action on Saturday, July 24th with a card that is literally lighter than we often see. Traditionally, a UFC card will include at least one heavyweight bout and several other bouts in the middleweight to cruiserweight range. This weekend, UFC Fight Night Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw will feature mostly fighters under welterweight.
The card is topped by #2 bantamweight Cory Sandhagen taking on TJ Dillashaw in the latter’s first fight since a 2019 suspension for a positive EPO test. The rest of the main card features three bantamweight and two flyweight bouts. We get a host of ranked opponents on the main card, the co-main event featuring #3 women’s bantamweight Aspen Ladd against #9 Macy Chiasson.
The preliminary card gets a little heavier, but not much. The top of the prelims include two middleweight bouts and a welterweight bout. Prior to that it’s bantamweight and then women’s flyweight and strawweight. We might not see quite as many knockouts as normal, but we should see some fun action.
